In 2006, the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council renovated the hall, giving it a new focus in the town.

The hall has been lined with new material, a new kitchen installed, the supper room and backstage area carpeted, toilets tiled, and a new disabled toilet installed.

The entire roof has been replaced but the original ceiling was retained. The old floor was replaced with a brand new hardwood floor, which looks just beautiful!

The hall is now perfect for all types of functions. The hall is the home of Pelican Theatre Company Inc, who have performed many plays in the hall since September 2003.

In October 2006, the renovated hall was celebrated with a Black Tie Ball, hosted by Pelican Theatre Company. This event featured the Jack Morris Big Band and was a wonderful night.
